Open Access publishing agreement: SAGE
Authors affiliated with the University of Vienna can publish Open Access in approximately 1,100 SAGE journals under an Open Access publishing agreement. OA publishing charges will be completely covered by the University (if applicable). Please find the agreement details here:

Invoicing | No invoicing for Hybrid Journals, OA costs fully covered by publishing agreement. For fully OA Journals: invoicing with large agreement discount addressed to the Open Access Office. OA costs are fully covered and paid for. |
Author workflow | SAGE recognises eligible authors and informs them accordingly. The affiliation of the "corresponding author" to the University of Vienna will be checked by the Open Access Office. |

1) Only "corresponding authors" are eligible for funding. "Corresponding author" is the person the publisher is in contact with concerning the article and who is named as such in the publication itself. Co-authors, first authors or last authors are not eligible for funding unless they are also corresponding authors. The "corresponding author" principle is used internationally to determine which institution covers the charges in case an article is written by authors of different institutional backgrounds. It facilitates fair distribution of costs.
